BMW began production equipping its three wheel model with a 4 speed motor and a 250 cc cylinder. In 1957 BMW began production of the four wheel model with a 300 cc. engine.

It was designed in France by Gabriel Voisin in 1947 - 48 but was not put on to the market.
In 1953 it was officially presented at the Barcelona Motor Show, equipped with a Hispano Villiers 197 cc 9 hp engine.The Biscuter was manufactured in four versions: Tourism, Commercial "Rubia", Van and Coupé.
